Project Background Grantor is the U.S. Bureau of Education through the Title VI Business and International Education (BIE) program Grant was recompensed in April 2008 23 organizations were honored 6 were junior colleges 3 were in Virginia (TCC, RU, and VCU) Project plan starts in August 2008 and finishes in August 2010 Project staff include: Jim Roberts, Sean LaCroix, and Jeanne Natali

Project Objectives Objective #1: Develop the limit of workforce to pass on universal business substance to understudies Create proficient improvement program for personnel including educational programs advancement workshops Develop/Market Optional Global Business Emphasis inside TCC's Business Administration Program Disseminate best practices to manufacture and keep up worldwide business practices to the VCCS

Project Objectives Objective #2: Infuse worldwide points of view into ebb and flow business programs Faculty deliver and share all around arranged learning content Develop program substance and trade programs with IHE's in Brazil and China Collaborate further with instructive system accomplices abroad in insightful trades and concentrate abroad projects

Faculty Participant Responsibilities 1 Seminars incorporate speakers from around U.S. furthermore, give members devices to consider worldwide issues. Go to four Globalization Seminars 2 Produce a globalization training module Participants will create content that will improve understudy introduction to worldwide issues. Members gain $500 in uncommon pay after fulfillment of these means 3 Evaluate peer instructive modules Participants will assess peer instructive modules and give mysterious criticism. 4 Consider utilizing instructive modules as a part of courses Final modules will be housed in storehouse and open by all workforce. 5 Consider investment in personnel trade program Some members will visit Brazil (2009) or China (2010) for a staff trade.

Student Participant Responsibilities 1 *Eight understudies will be chosen to enlist. Understudies will win 3 credits for course work including conveyed online and amid Globalization modules. Enlist in and meet prerequisites of ECO 295 2 Attend three globalization courses Students will go to classes where speakers from around U.S. furthermore, give members instruments to concentrate on worldwide issues. 3 Produce capstone globalization venture Students will deliver a last presentation or paper on a worldwide issue. 4 Students will go to Brazil Students will go with 6 employees on two week trade to Joinville Brazil and encompassing regions.

Faculty and Student Exchanges Six workforce and six understudies will attempt a school supported twelve day trade to Brazil. Some of that time will be gone through with our accomplices, staff and understudies from Univille University. The rest of the time will be spent drenching ourselves in Brazilian society and economy.
