Notes The Sheltons/Allens are my Mother\'s family. The Davis\' are my Father\'s family. Both my extraordinary incredible awesome granddads were Confederate officers. Shelton served in the 30 th Virginia Infantry. Davis served in the 27 th North Carolina Infantry. Davis surrendered with the Army of Northern Virginia on April 9 th , 1865 at Appomattox Courthouse. Preceding my folks\' era, none of the individuals from my family went to school. The primary calling through both sides of my family was cultivating.
