Crispin is a 13-year-old boy who has been framed for stealing from the manor house.  Crispin’s mother has died recently and Crispin is shunned just as his mother was. Because Crispin was accused of stealing, he was declared a Wolf’s Head by the steward, John Aycliffe. This meant that anyone could kill him at any given time. Father Quinel, Crispin’s only family friend, was killed mysteriously. Crispin enlists the help of a burly man with a fiery red beard who goes by the name of Bear.  Bear teaches Crispin music and how to express himself. http://www.crispinbook.org.html This young boy is Crispin, a 13 year old peasant boy. ur  story  begins when  a young boy ‘s mother passes away. Our young peasant just may grow up to be a hero to himself and others. With the help of Bear, he travels to the kingdom in Great Wexley.

Slide4CrispinCharacters Settings Events http://www.crispinbook.org/setting.html Setting Crispin takes place in 1377 AD.  In the beginning of the book, Crispin lives in the city of Stromford.  Crispin runs into the forest to escape John Aycliffe.  Crispin tries to travel to England to gain his freedom, but he finds an abandoned city previously swept by the plague.  Crispin finds Bear in a discarded church, and together they travel to the city of Great Wexley.  While there, Crispin and Bear stay at Widow Daventry’s inn.  After Bear kills Aycliffe, him and Crispin leave to start their lives together.
