Slide2NC State Board Policy # TCP-004:“Within two weeks of a teacher’s first day of work in any school year, the principal will provide the teacher with a copy of or directions for obtaining access to a copy of:  A.  The Rubric for Evaluating NC Teachers; B.  This policy; and C.  A schedule for completing all the components of       the evaluation process. Copies may be provided by electronic means.”

Slide15Component 5:Observations Probationary Status :  3 obs. by admin, 1 by peer Career Status: • Off Years of Renewal Cycle:  1 obs by admin   (1 st   through 4 th  Years of Cycle) •       Formal Year of Evaluation:   3 obs by admin                  (Year of Summative Evaluation) Formal Observations: should last at least 45 minutes or an entire class period.
