4. EDIT MODE This module is intended to provide you with a familiarization of the Edit Mode on the Haas Control

5. Here is where you find the Edit Buttons

6. Pressing the edit button on the control will display the current program for editing. You can also use LIST PROGRAMS or MDI/DNC to select a program to edit. Edit Buttons EDIT: INSERT: ALTER: DELETE: UNDO:

7. Edit Button: With the program you want to edit selected, Press < EDIT > to go into Advanced Editor. Advanced Editor will be covered as a separate module. Press < PRGRM CONVRS > to go into the Normal Edit Mode. 8. Insert Button: Used to move text in the input buffer into the program after the current cursor location. Can also move blocks of code from one location in a program to another. In Block Edit (Covered Later) you can select a block of code from one program and insert it into another program. 15. Delete Button: Used to delete the item that the cursor is on. In Block Edit it can also be used to delete a block of code in a program. Can be used to delete entire message on the message screen. 16. Undo Button: Used to undo up to the last 10 edit changes. Will Not let you undo anything done in Block Edit. In Block Edit you can perform operations on one or more lines in a program. Operations include: block duplication, block move & block delete. In the 40 column editor Press < F1 > to define the beginning of the block and Press < F2 > to define the end of that block to edit.
