Slide23TODAY’SDISCUSSION • Background • Keeping the NCC • Goals of this campaign • How can you help?
Slide24For decades we, the PNCC,have had a close alliance with the PNU. PNCC has close ties with the PNU
Slide25Since 1969 the twoorganizations have had offices in the same building. PNCC and PNU cooperate The PNU built a new, modern building in 1991, and we, the PNCC, bought 30%.
Slide26Recently, state laws governingfraternal insurance companies changed. This change caused the PNU to divest itself of its real estate. PNU required to sell building
Slide27PNCC considers buying PNU Building• Diocesan representatives and all bishops make up the Supreme Council • The Supreme Council makes decisions for the PNCC between Synods • The Supreme Council considered purchasing the PNU Building
Slide28Much analysis occurred before the vote• Countless prayers • Numerous meetings • Months of discussion • Extensive analysis
Slide29…and a decision was reached...… to buy the PNU Building...
Slide30...but funds are needed...$2.3 million dollars to be exact!
Slide31...so the Supreme Councilvoted to establish a fund- raising campaign to enable the PNCC to purchase the PNU Building.
