Slide1Ask a QuestionWhat are we testing? Step 1

Slide2Step 2   Research your topic. Look at the past work of others to see if this problem has already been tested.

Slide3Step 3

Slide4Step 4Test Your Hypothesis   (do an experiment) Follow the experimental design. Make observations and collect data.

Slide5Parts of an ExperimentControl  – the part of the experiment that everything is compared to. Constants  – the factors that stay the same in all set ups so you are only testing 1 thing. Variable  – The one thing that is being tested by the person/scientist.

Slide6Step 5Analyze your data Make charts and graphs that explain the collected data. Summarize observations .

Slide7Step 6Conclusion Share what was learned by the experiment.  State any potential improvements that could be made.
