5. 2013 SC B4 Colloquium in Brazil 02/10/2013 - 03/10/2013 Brasilia - Brazil Organisation : CIGRE Study Committee B4 and CIGRE Brazilian National Committee HVDC and Power Electronics to Boost Network Performance The Colloquium will cover a range of topics encompassing the challenges that transmission networks are presently facing or likely to face in the future, and the role which HVDC and power electronics will play in meeting those challenges to boost network performance. With the above context, the topics will include the following: Topic 1 - Technological developments Topic 2 - New projects, including upgrades Topic 3 - System planning and related considerations

6. September 28, 29 and 30: AG & WG Meetings (Meli Convention Center, Brasilia) For B4 SC Members, AG members, WG members and invited experts only. Hotel accommodation and meeting rooms available. October 1: SC B4 Meeting (Meli Convention Center, Brasilia) For B4 SC Regular Members, AG members, WG conveners and invited experts only. On September 30, a dinner event will be offered for those participants and accompanying people registered at a local restaurant. This event includes bus service from and back to the Hotel. October 2 and 3: Colloquium (Meli Convention Center, Brasilia) Colloquium is open for CIGRE and non-CIGRE members. The event consists of two days of technical presentations and discussions. On October 2, an evening dinner at the same Hotel will be offered for registered participants and accompanying people. See Colloquium details. October 3, 4, and 5: Technical Visit ( Porto Velho ) This event is available for SC delegates and Accompanying persons. Please see the Technical Visit preliminary Program for more details.
