2. Motivation The formula to calculate a temperature in Fahrenheit if we have the temperature in Celsius: But what if we had say the temperature in Fahrenheit, and wanted to know it in Celsius?
3. Motivation If we have some value of F, we can now more easily substitute it in to give us a value for C. C is now the subject of the formula .
4. Learning Objectives Be able to make a term the subject of a formula, possibly involving brackets, squared terms and square roots.
